Davidson’s Mill Pond Park is a great place for walking, ice fishing, learning about the environment and more.
* Boat ramp for small boats
* Open run and play areas
It’s a pleasant series of short walks in the wooded setting around a central field with garden exposures. Ponds, shady forest and walking paths provide variety.
This park is passive and mostly undeveloped. The pond and waterfall where the mill once stood is one of the loveliest spots in the county.
Recommended for an easy/short hike if you’re in the area but probably won’t drive very far.Be sure to visit the butterfly house (usually open on weekends in June, July and August) on the field in the middle of the park. The Rutgers EARTH Center is also here.
